8 years agoPoor tracking in Oculus when Unity playing, unless focus is on Oculus software instead of Unity.
Hi folks,
I'm am having a peculiar problem with Oculus in Unity. Since the 1.27.1 update for the Oculus Integration in Unity came out, the tracking is terrible when I am in the Unity Editor and hit play. It's really bad unless I alt-tab to the Unity software. As soon as I change focus to Oculus instead of Unity, it tracks perfectly. I filed a ticket with Support about it and they told me to come here because it's "not a problem with Oculus but rather with development". This happens in a brand new project with only one plane and one cube and the Oculus integration in it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Oculus Integration, Unity itself, the Oculus software, and my GeForce drivers. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling older versions and that didn't fix it either. Oculus support told me, "It seems that the software on your laptop is only providing dedicates processing (CPU/GPU) to the applications running in the foreground and applications which are running in the background are not getting priority." Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Thanks.
