Recommend an animator Program

Can anyone recommend a good animator program for use with unity?

    Get maya integration is very good since unity can import maya files directly. Import the maya file and modifiy on the go, with instances of maya and unity running at the same time. Mayas Viewport navigation si also somewhat similar to unitys. Also the world up vector ist the same. The educational (email adress of university required) Version of maya is free. only one thing is disturbing me, that maya still has some stupid bugs, that they just wont fix even afert sp5 now.
