7 years agoRecording the unusual Oculus lift game
Hi I am a student who is working on the unity oculus lift game.
At the end of the production, we are trying to record the game for the competition and school exhibition.
However, there is not enough resolution on the monitor screen to fit the VR screen (the screen is trimmed).
So, I installed steam program called VRcapture but it only records sound but does not record video.
Programs installed from the Oculus store will be able to record images, but unity projects and build programs will not be recorded.
How do other developers capture footage?
Thank you for your help.

owever, fundamentally there is a difficulty in solving the problem.
The link that you uploaded eventually records the screen on the monitor,
and there is a part that is cut off compared to the actual screen of Oculus.
Is this the limit? Is there really no way to record an Oculus screen to a monitor? - If you want to see the full view of the rift, you can use the Oculus Mirror tool. It comes as part of the Oculus runtime software.
