Rendering Issue passthrough
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently developing an AR game for the Meta Quest 3, and I’m encountering a rendering issue when using PC VR with passthrough. The problem seems to be related to the passthrough feature because my virtual hands are displayed correctly.
When I build for Android, everything works fine, but when I build for PC or run the game in the Unity Editor, I experience this rendering issue. I’ve tested three different versions of Unity and multiple versions of the all-in-one Meta SDK, but the issue persists.
I also tested the project on another computer with an RTX 4070, and it worked perfectly in both the build and the editor. Based on this, I assume the problem is related to the graphics card on my main computer, which has a 7900 XT.
Has anyone else experienced this rendering issue or have any tips to help resolve it? Thanks in advance for your help!
We're not able to confirm details about support for the 7000 series for use with PCVR at this time, but we would recommend keeping an eye out for updates on the announcements page of the forums.

Hi there Pyrobeerbeer,
Thank you for reaching out to Meta Quest Support. We understand you're having issues with running your PCVR game on your main computer, so we'd love to help you get to the bottom of this issue. The AMD 7000 series of GPUs is not currently supported for use with Quest Link, so your assumption that it has something to do with the 7900 XT is absolutely correct. You can find a complete list of support GPUs here.
We hope this helps and wish you all the best for your development process!

Tanks for you answer. Is there an approximate release date for support for the 7000 series? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I'm currently developing with an older card (RX 5700 XT), and I'm running into a similar issue. What's worse is that the passthrough through link for the Unity Editor was working fine up until a few weeks ago.
Is this just a problem with the new AMD drivers that aren't compatible with Meta?

I also want to report that I'm getting the same issue with my RX 6800. Passthrough has worked on this PC before. I've tried several unity versions, and to roll back the graphics drivers to no avail.

I'm having the exact same issue with Unreal Engine. This started occurring a few weeks ago, possibly after my headset was updated to v71. I have a Radeon 7800XT. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

Hello I just got a solution to my problem that was the same to this, in settings I had composite depth on, on both, the pc and mobile. disabling this made passthrough work. I got to give credit to GDXR for helping me with this render issue. Let me know if it helps you too.

This seems to be a problem with both Unreal and Unity.
I'm facing the exact same issue on Unreal 5.4.4, the passthrough looks exactly the same as the image provided by the original thread creator. This used to work, back around late October/November.
Meta support has told me that my graphics card is unsupported (Radeon 7800xt).
mrcload - so passthrough is working for you in Unreal now, through Meta Link? I tried turning off Composite Depth for both mobile and PC, and it unfortunately did not fix the problem.
