Sample works, unity doesn't...
I can't get anything to show on the screen in Unity, but it moves the camera in the unity game when you move it...
I turned off dx11.
I checked the connections.
Rift is the only device connected to the USB.
I installed the exe and rebooted twice.
Any ideas? Do you have to remove any sdk from the rift1?
I'm using unity version 4.5.3 and the 0.41 version of the rift sdk.

- cyberealityGrand ChampionI believe you should be running in Dx11 mode for the best support.
Have you tried switching between Direct and Extended modes for the Oculus display driver? - lmbarnsHonored GuestSo it had Direct HMD access enabled, which was causing the screen to stay black, but it's still not working.
After switching to the Extend desktop to the HMD enabled I can see the desktop, but it's 90 degrees clockwise....
It functions normal on the demo included in the sdk package, not 90 degrees clockwise as in unity.... - cyberealityGrand ChampionYou can change the orientation in Windows (from landscape to portrait).
- lmbarnsHonored GuestWhy is it more difficult than the dk1? When I get it to look normal on my monitor and on the rift, even though the rift is not the main display, it gets the desktop view while my monitor has a second screen, and no matter what I try I cannot move the unity window to the desktop with the rift. I tried every combo..........every other attempt changes my monitor to portrait as well, even if it says landscape.
Does the dk2 work inside unity editor(full screen) like the dk1?
Also why does the rift show sideways (under default settings on my computer) when it shows perfectly normal playing the demo???? Same exact settings...
Only way rift works is with my main display sideways...not very appealing to anyone watching. - lmbarnsHonored GuestActually, I have it set with the rift assigned to portrait, and my desktop set to landscape, but the rift is sideways still.
If instead of extend to this display I choose duplicate, it turns my desktop screen sideways but the rift then works normally...wth..... - cyberealityGrand ChampionI don't think duplicate/clone mode will work. The reason is that the DK2 uses a cell phone display, and these are in portrait mode orientation (1080x1920). This means you need to rotate the orientation in Windows when using extended mode. If you use Direct mode this process is easier, since it will hide the Rift display from Windows and the games will go directly to it in the right format.
- lmbarnsHonored GuestUgh, after getting the screens setup correctly, the unity rift still isn't working in Unity.
I'm using unity pro, both the cube example scene and tuscany demo in unity aren't working. The camera in the game doesn't move relative to the rift, and there is only 1 camera view on both lenses....and the red/blue outlines are clear as day....
I just reinstalled the plugin and still the same problem.
Unity version 4.5.3f3 - cyberealityGrand ChampionHave you imported the Oculus integration package and placed the OVRPlayerController in the scene? You also should disable or remove the default 2D camera.
- lmbarnsHonored GuestYeah, I have the tuskany demo opened in unity and it has the ovrPlayerController and no other cameras.
The demo scene from the configuration utility works properly, so the rift works...
