Starting a project in 2019.1

How much trouble am I creating for myself by starting dev in 2019.1? With it not even being mentioned on the compatibility page am I creating future pains for myself? I would really love to be starting a project with the most current. My project will be fairly simple but I have short turn around and don't want to throw it off.
