Tap recognition?
Hi to all,
I've seen 'tap on the rift' gestures mentioned here and there, seems like a very useful input method. After some googling, couldn't find anything though... Is there anything open source available? Or is it planned for future releases of the SDK? I'd like to make sure there's nothing out there already before I start working on my own solution...
Cheers,
Gregzo

- 13thFloorHonored GuestVanguardV uses this. Most likely just senses a brief but sharp change in the accelerometer when you tap it on the right. I suppose any direction could be registered?
- jabRising StarThat feature is great. Makes it so that you can play Proton Pulse (possibly still the best Rift demo) and VanguardV without having to hold any control device. This makes for a more immersive experience.
You don't even have to tap the side of the Rift, a sharp nod will do the same trick when selecting options. - GregzoHonored GuestYes, a great feature indeed.
No code to be found anywhere? It's not the hardest to implement, but as always with sensors, tweaking appropriately does take time. It'd be a nice time saver to have a robust solution available...
