Things not working as they did before I activated Trial
I installed Unity 4.2.2 a few months ago, and had done all the messing around/learning I could want since then using the Rift integration package. About the middle of last month I decided I wanted to release my demo so people could enjoy it on the Rift, so I got a global game jam key to activate the Unity Pro trial. The UI turned a dark grey, and I built releases until it expired Sunday.
Once my trial ended, the UI went back to its old light grey. But now the OVRPlayerController no longer works, and throws errors to the console. I can't move the OVRPlayerController in Game mode, a single copy of the HUD shows dead center of the screen without pressing the button to bring it up. And I'm just left confused as to whats gone wrong.
I first noticed it in a completely new project I created to test some things I've learned, but things behave the same in my other project as well.
I've taken a screenshot of Unity to show what things look like, and some of the errors.
Screenshot of the problem.
I can use the First Person Controller just fine, but I'd prefer to keep using the OVRPlayerController. I have no Rift, but it does help me keep my projects readily designed for someday when I can activate Unity Pro or a trial again.
Anyway know whats wrong? And how to fix it?

- drashHeroic ExplorerThat is quite strange -- maybe when you first installed Unity you also activated the 30 day Pro trial? Doesn't explain why you saw dark gray UI in the beginning though.
Anyway, the errors are because you don't have Pro -- the Unity Rift integration requires full screen image effects and plugins, both of which are Pro only (trial or otherwise). - DarkAkumaExplorerSo you're saying I was on a pro trial already before I activated the game jam trial?
If so, that's quite strange. I thought I was using plain free. The UI even reflected that. I had to have been on that trial longer then a month, which is what I would expect a trial to be for. Kind of a bummer wasting a trial I didn't even know I had.
Guess I'll have to heavily modify the FPS controller, or Frankenstein them in some way to attempt to keep my modifications, dialed in settings, and continued level of understanding of the Rift until the next time I can use pro again. Just sounds like a lot of time and work I'd rather be spending elsewhere.
I'll throw my name into the hat to add into the frustration and displeasure with Unity continuing to require Pro from Rift support. So unfriendly for a learning indi dev like me. =(
