Unable to see Text I added following along with "Build Your First VR App" tutorial

I'm following along with the "Build Your First VR App" tutorial on the Oculus developer web site and everything is going great until I get to "Step 5. Add text." I'm using Unity version 2020.3.33f1. Following the instructions as written doesn't show any text in my Scene or Game views. Changing the size and color of the font doesn't seem to do anything either. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?? Thanks!
