UNITY 4 + DK1 Oculus NO HMD DETECTED ISSUE *SOLVED*
I'm trying to get the oculus to work with Unity 4 for my senior thesis project.
I've downloaded and imported the oculus integration package, followed all the steps,
but unity never seems to recognize the oculus, I always get the error message "NO HMD DETECTED".
I've been searching for a while, and haven't found anyone else with this specific problem.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated
my computer specs:
intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz
16GB RAM
Intel HD graphics 4600
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

- moltonExplorerYou have the Oculus runtime installed right? There is Oculus driver software you need to use with the new SDK's. Also, try setting the DK1 compatibility mode on if you haven't already.
- saelanHonored GuestHi
I have the same problem. But being in a mac environment I thought it was related to the OS...
The OculusUnityDemoScene.app plays perfectly (and also the desk demo scene) so the HMD must work.
But when importing the same demo scene in Unity and run it the NO HMD DETECTED warning pops up.
I am currently working in 4.6 (tried the beta update to see if it helped). But was in the 30days Unity Pro test period before.
Also when "plying" OSX demos found on http://riftenabled.com there will be no head tracking only 3D wiev.
I have been reading all the posts and threads I could find on this issue but din´t find anything...

I downloaded and installed the latest runtime and that fixed it!
