Unity 4.6 Pro + SDK/Runtime 0.6.0.1 Issue

Hi, apologies if I just missed a memo somewhere but I just upgraded to 0.6.0.1 as I noticed a nice new change about the MediaPlayer dimensions being able to be set via the interface, which is great - previously I had to edit the source for this.

Anyway, the short version is that with the above mentioned versions of Unity and the Oculus SDK I no longer get stereoscopic rendering when testing in the Unity editor. Which is quite sad. Please help. :)

Thanks!

  • So the current recommended versions are Unity 4.6.7p3 for Integration 0.6.0.2 and Unity 5.1.1p4 for Utilities 0.1.0.0.

Can you explain more about your issue? Is this PC or mobile development?

Does the actual build work but just the editor is an issue? Head-tracking work?

OK, so I am running Unity 4.6.6f2 Pro and have installed the Mobile SDK 0.6.0.1 and the Oculus runtime 0.6.0.1 as well. My intent is to build this app to submit to the Oculus Store, which is why I am messing around with getting the latest, as in the submission docs it was suggest all submissions are built on the latest versions of the SDK and Integrations.

With that said, if I understand correctly (and I just went and read the SDK release notes again too, I should:

    Patch Unity to 4.6.7p3
    Install the 0.6.0.2 Integration (which I can't find, I can only find https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/ ... tegration/)

Is this right for submission of an Android Gear VR app?

To elaborate on the issue I am experiencing, it is that the OVR Camera Rig wasn't showing stereoscopic rendering in the editor Game window when I run the application. Everything is fine in the build. Its just in the editor. I also answered a lot of my other questions from the release notes.
