Unity 4 Month Trial
I hope this is the correct place for this thread, however I have a possible problem with the activation of my 4 month free trial of Unity 4.
When I activated the trial code, the Unity Editor stated that I would only be able to use Unity Pro for the standard 30 days rather than the full 4 months I was promised. I also cannot seem to view when the trial will end within the editor (I'm hoping this is just a semantic issue and my trial will actually last the 125 days as promised).
Did anyone else have this problem when activating their Unity 4 month trial? Should I worry or take some action?
Thanks.

- space123321ExplorerI know when I activated it clearly stated that it was approved for 125 days...
- cal40kHonored GuestI've just activated my extended trial and had the same problem.
Hopefully it was just the Unity popup being wrong rather than the license itself. - marcoromeroHonored GuestDid any of you guys solve the trial problem? I just redeemed my four months and Unity Pro is only saying I have 30 days. Hope it's only a "bug".
- cyberealityGrand ChampionMaybe it makes a difference which specific version number of Unity you are using. I would guess that the best thing to do would be to download the latest version from Unity first, and then apply the 4-month code to that.

I already redeemed the code using Unity 4.1.2f1 since the installer for the latest version was corrupt last night unfortunately: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/185382-4-1-5-DMG-for-Mac-is-corrupted
I did contact their customer support though, and they asked me to send back the code I used. Hopefully this won't be a problem, I'll update this thread once I get some results. - cyberealityGrand ChampionI tried using a "4 month" trial code on a brand new install of Unity 4.1.5 (latest) and can confirm it only said it was authorized for a "30 day trial". I will bring this up to the team and see if there is an answer.

I've got an update. I contacted Unity and apparently these 4 month trials start ticking once they're issued by Oculus, not when you activate your license. My rifts didn't arrive until sometime around June 6th, and my Unity trial was issued in March.
I contacted Oculus, but currently waiting for a response. Really hope I can take advantage of the full trial :( - JOHIsaacHonored Guest

WHAT? Is that for sure? I saved that trial key until I am more confident with Unity. If that is true, I just wasted my time with the free version. - CosbyTronHonored GuestI was also waiting to activate (still within the regular 30 days trial), but it sounds like there is no advantage to putting it off. I'll give my code a try this weekend.

It's happening to me, I'm still waiting on Oculus to respond to this issue.
If you haven't redeemed your code yet, maybe you can E-Mail Unity and ask them to check on the status of your trial key. They can tell you if it was issued or not, that's how I found out. If it was issued, Unity suggested to contact Oculus, and that's where I am now. I'll come back to this thread when I get more news.
Let us know what happened when you redeemed your key by the way. Good luck!
