Unity 4 or 5 Doesnt seem to work with GearVR
I've started a new project because mine didn't work and I didn't want to convolute things, so I started a new one and only imported the UnityIntegration.unityPackage which I got from the ovr_mobile_0.4.3.zip package. And then merged over the project settings by overwriting the old ones. In both Unities (4 & 5) that works fairly well.
Here the differences begin. Unity 5 complains about ambiguities between the x86 and x86_64 folders, which make my head hurt, since x86_64 seems like an oxymoron, but maybe I don't understand the distinction.
Here you have to delete one or the other folder to proceed.
Once you do, you can compile a .apk, but once it runs, it fails somehow, and eventually you get to the Samsung VR main menu screen.
In unity 4.6 it doesn't complain about the x86 issues, loads the sample Cubes level and wants to compile, but it also hangs, and goes to the Samsung menu, when you remove the OVR CameraRig, and replace it with a Single camera, it still wants the GearVR but launches and displays a single image across both eyes. This works both with unity 4 & 5.
Also the Setup Docs (PDF) are strictly for DK1 / DK2 and don't relate to GearVR
Is there a new (er) version that clears this up ? I would hope this needs to be more robust if people are going to dog-pile onto this contest.

- cyberealityGrand ChampionDid you create your signature? https://developer.oculus.com/tools/osig/
Also, you may want to check logcat for errors. - DD_DCrosbyHonored GuestSo this is where the docs failed me, I knew I had to put the key somewhere, but I just put it into the assets folder, and not in the Plugins>Android>assets folder, this is where the key from here: https://developer.oculus.com/tools/osig/ needs to go.
Now I just have to figure out how to get a Korean Note 4 to get the latest firmware :(
And the Unity 5 x86 thing still persists... any idea which one is the right one to delete ? - cyberealityGrand ChampionIdeally you shouldn't have to delete anything.
However, there are still a few issues on Unity 5 mobile which are being worked on currently. - DD_DCrosbyHonored GuestLOL Ideally you'd have a Unity5 Download link that worked :D
Also may I ask do you have any Docs on how to make the Touchpad / Back Button Work... (no I didn't search) - cyberealityGrand ChampionThe update to the mobile SDK has been released: https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/#sdk=mobile
This should allow compatibility with the newest Unity 5.0.0p2. Please report back any problems.
