Unity 6 with Meta XR SDK Per Eye Camera Not Working
Unity Version: 6000.0.25f1
Meta XR All-in-One SDK: v72
When creating a project with unity 6 and the meta xr sdk, using the per eye camera checkbox for the Camera Rig the project that builds doesn't render the right eye camera correctly when running the app in the oculus 3 headset.
Here were the exact steps taking to replicate this error:
- Make new 3D Project with built in pipeline
- Switch to Android build
- Install XR plug-in Manager and Oculus XR plugin
- Install by name the packages for the Meta XR SDK using com.meta.xr.sdk.all
- Select OpenXR Hand Skeleton for the popup
- Move OVRCameraRig prefab into the scene hierarchy
- Clicked Fix All in Meta XR Project Setup Tool
- Toggle Per Eye Camera setting in OVRCameraRig Script
- Target Oculus 3 if it's not toggled
- Make a cube in front of camera
- Build as an apk
- Loaded the apk through MQDH

Also getting the same error, but on unity 2022.3.31f1. Quest 3 v72 build 5047332.16210.510 for device and firmware.

Found out the issue was that it was the Stereo Rendering mode setting in the Oculus XR plug-in manager. Switching it to MultiPass instead of MultiView now shows the cameras correctly. The Meta XR Project Setup Tool recommends to switch it to the MultiView setting while using per eye cameras causes it to break if you do apply that reccommendation.
