Unity versions for store release
I don't have access to Oculus SDK 1.x, but I need to know which Unity versions I can use to target the store. Is the 5.4 beta usable or do we need to stick to some specific version of 5.3? I really don't want to end up in a position where I can't roll back and have to sit on a finished build waiting for a Unity patch for my branch.

- cyberealityGrand ChampionThe best supported non-beta version is 5.3.3p1.
The 5.4 beta is usable, as far as I can tell, though maybe a safer bet to wait til it comes out of beta. - vrdavebOculus StaffWe have been testing 1.X with 5.3.3p3 and 5.4.0b10. Both appear to work. Shortly after PC SDK 1.X ships publicly, Unity will ship a 5.3 (and later 5.4) version that is based on that version.
- owenwpExpert ProtegeWhen you say Unity will ship new versions based on the new SDK, do you mean we will have to wait for that and upgrade before we can ship our games to the store?
- vrdavebOculus StaffYes. We are working with Unity to coordinate the release as soon after PC SDK shipment as possible.
- owenwpExpert ProtegeIn that case, it sounds like I need to use 5.3 or risk being stuck with an unpatched version for an undetermined period of time, unable to release.
- OliverEHonored GuestDamn, I saw this too late. Do you have any info regarding timelines? I have to decide between backporting to 5.3 and waiting for 5.4. The game is ready and we want to submit as soon as we integrate the new SDK.
