Urgent Question on Quest Link

Hi, I've been using quest link for unity development for a few months but today my quest 3 keeps disconnecting from quest link. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue and how to fix it? I have restarted my quest 3 and computer but it does not work. Thank you!

    Hey there,

Thanks for posting into our forum. We can see you're having some connection problem when trying to use the Quest link, we'll be happy to help out! We have a few steps for you to try first to see if this works for you, please see below:

    1. Open the Meta Quest PC app on your computer.
    2. Turn on your Quest headset.
    3. Plug your USB 3 cable into a USB 3 port on your PC, and then plug the other end into your headset.
    4. A message displays in VR prompting you to Allow access to data. Select Deny. If you mistakenly 'Allow' the prompt, you must unplug your USB cable from the Quest and plug it back in.
    5. When prompted to Enable Meta Quest Link, select Enable to begin remote rendering using Meta Quest Link.

If these steps don't help you out, you can try these ones also!

    1. Go to https://www.meta.com/quest/setup and click Download software.
    2. Select Repair.
    3. If Windows asks you if you are sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
    4. If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info, and then click Run anyway.
    5. If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    6. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you have completed the repair.
    7. Allow the repair process to run, download and install.
    8. Launch the Meta Quest PC app.

Please give these steps a try and report back to us how it went for you.

  • Apart from following the recommended steps, you might also want to try a different cable. I found my official Link cable started not connecting properly after about a year of use. I swapped to another cable and that fixed my disconnections
