Using an old version of Unity(5.3.1) not valid for Oculus store, any alternatives?

I'm using an old version of Unity(5.3.1) not valid for Oculus store(requires 5.3.6+), can I upload my game anywhere else to share it with friends? It's super annoying having them download OSIG files and sending me them. Can I upload my game on the Playstore? I noticed only Cardboard apps are on there so I'm guessing not.
