Validate App: TestAudioOutput failing.
Hello there,
Running through my Virtual Reality Check (VRC) Validator utility through the debug tool. Failing at TestAudioOutput.
I have followed the instructions, hopefully in the correct manual way listed at
https://developer.oculus.com/distribute/latest/concepts/vrc-pc-audio-1/
Test1:
Headphones Plugged Into the front panel of computer->Asus Realtek HD Audio Manager pops up-> choose headphone option;
Playback devices: Speakers(Set Default);
Oculus App-> Device-> Audio Output in VR-> Set to: Use Windows Settings;
Results1:
Playback devices: Speakers(Set Default);
Oculus App-> Device-> Audio Output in VR-> Set to: Use Rift headphones
Results2:
Using Oculus Debug Tool ver 1.24.0.0
OVR SDK Runtime Ver: 1.24.0
HMD: Rift Cv1
HMD firmware: 7.8
Firmware version: 708/34a904e8da
Unity 2017.3.0f3 Personal 64bit
Windows 10

Will failing this fail my oculus app if I pass the other Default tests? Its failing the TestLaunchIntoVR but seems like that is a known bug for unity free versions because of the splash screen?

- MomekaHonored GuestI'm having the same issue with the audio test. I also did the manual test outlined in the documents and that works correctly.
Same unity version. - Preston_JongProtegeI'm experiencing the same thing. Looks like the newer Oculus App keeps flipping the Audio Output in VR setting from "Use Windows Settings" back to "Rift Headphones". So I keep getting a failed test for audio. Doing a manual test things seem to be working properly.
- STKFFExplorer@imperativity Do you know if the tool was fixed? Does it still flag TestAudioOutput that were passed as failing?
