VR DISABLE
Hi all, I tried to run a simple demo, I downloaded the Unity Integration and Runtime but when I run demo, only appears one camera, also a text appears saying "VR DISABLE", I do not why this happened. I have not attached any DK device I only want test Oculus tools and run my demo properly. I saw OVRService service is running.
I downloaded this:
ovr_unity_0.6.0.0_lib
ovr_sdk_win_0.6.0.0
and I use the last Unity version.
Please, anybody can give me guidelines to follow?

- cyberealityGrand ChampionYou need the headset connected for it to work.
- ALFREDOSKYHonored Guestcybereality thanks for reply , are you sure of that? I think it is not necessary, it should work anyway.
- cyberealityGrand ChampionDid you install the Oculus runtime?
- ALFREDOSKYHonored GuestYes I did; I installed the last one, oculus_runtime_sdk_0.6.0.0_win
- cyberealityGrand ChampionRight, you still need the headset though.
- ALFREDOSKYHonored GuestWell, i got dk1 device to test my demo but still shows same error when I run it, VR DISABLE . I tried to configure with OculusConfigUtil.exe but not recognize dk device, also appears in windows tool bar an oculus icon saying SERVICE IS DISCONNECTED, I updated the firmware, connect and reconnect usb and hmd but nothing solve the error .
anybody have ideas why this happend? - cyberealityGrand ChampionDo you have an old video card (i.e. sub- DirectX11)? Because those are not supported.
Make sure to read my guide here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=16768
And provide the log files from here (either upload as attachments or in code tags): viewtopic.php?f=34&t=23521 - ALFREDOSKYHonored GuestAhhh finally! cybereality thanks for all your support, my chip card was fine (intel 4400), the problem was my screen configuration, I really sorry, i feel dumb, . Well if somebody have the same problem that I have, I will explain how configuration should be, I use Windows 8:
- connect all oculus wires with pc and power
- open OculusConfigUtil.exe(No HDM detected is probably the message)
- in windows go to screen configuration->resolution:
a)change Orientation by Separate in two screens (very important!)
b)change Screen by DK
c)click in apply button and then in accept button
at this point unity was recognized as oculus device and you will see in OculusConfigUtil window that appears your dk, that's all; I hope this helps others! have a nice day! :D - cyberealityGrand ChampionOK, great news!
