"VR Disabled" in Unity 5

I'm upgrading my project from Unity 4.6.3 to Unity 5.1.1p3 and I'm unable to get my DK2 working. When I run my game in the editor, I get the "VR Disabled" overlay. I'm not yet ready to upgrade to Unity VR, so I'm still using the legacy Unity 4 Integration. As such, I also have the "Virtual Reality Supported" disabled. I'm running SDK 0.6.0.0.

How do I enable VR in v5.1.1p3? Do I have to enable the "Virtual Reality Supported" setting to enable VR? As I understand it, I can't use the legacy Unity 4 Integration while the "Virtual Reality Supported" setting is enabled. Thanks.

  • Yes, the legacy Unity integration should still work. Do you get any errors in the console? One thing to note is that only Extended Mode will work in the Editor (Direct Mode is only working in built-in support).
