Weird lightmapping artifacts Unity 5.1.0 [Solved]

I'm having some weird artifacts while i'm baking my prototype scene.

All the scene is correctly baked.. just perfectly done,BUT.. just a room is wrongly baked and i've tried changed some options in the GI window and i've tried to re-bake everything more and more times but still having this artifacts.

Someone can help me?

  • I had issues with light-mapping as well w/ Unity 5, but I'm not convinced it's Oculus related.

Yes i know.. i'm absolutely convinced as well that it's not an Oculus issue..

But i wanted to try here to see if i could get some help, thanks anyway :)
  • I've been having a hell of a time getting clean bakes using 5.0 as well.
I had similar looking artifacts in my scene and the only thing that could fix it was to use directional specular maps (not sure if you're already set to that, i cant make out your options from that shot), and to avoid large pieces of geometry.

In my case i was getting the same problems on my floors, but after splitting them up into smaller chunks they cleared up for the most part.

I'm thinking this has to do with how lightmap uv's are being created (using the import settings), though i havent tried creating my own yet so thats just a theory.

edit: apparently 5.1 has fixed a lot of issues with lightmapping so that might be worth trying

I'm using Non-DIrectional mode.. i've already tried also Directional but that didn't work so i'm gonna try Directional specular maps hoping for the best..

I've already divided the floor into smaller chunk but that doesn't solve the issue unfortunately :/

Ah and by the way i've already tried with the latest patch 5.0.1p1 but it doesn't helped neither.
  • I meant 5.1.0 (released today) :)
If that doesnt resolve it i'd say try creating your secondary uv set manually

Ah! Thanks i'm trying downloading Unity 5.1.0 right now :)

Ps: The Directional specular hasn't solved the issue btw :/
  • Alright.. 5.1.0 doesn't helped too..

Edit: Ok,i've managed to partially solve increasing the Bake resolution from 50 to 60.. and a TONS of artifact are just gone away..

I still have some little artifacts here and there but at this point i'd say that increase the bake resolution even more should completely remove them.
