2nd PC independent view and interation with game world?
Hi everyone - just a quick question regarding screens and also UDK development (although this is more of a UDQ development question).
Just to set the scene, I'm a graphic artist and someone who just loves to dabble in 3D and VR - I'm not a programmer of any sort - I will employ programmers to do this. I have been told that this is possible so now I'm trying to understand the specifics of what I need to be asking a programmer to do.
I have a thread that confirmed this would work https://developer.oculusvr.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1716
and here http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/968274-2nd-PC-independent-view-and-interation-with-game-world
The setup only has to be able to work in a one-off scenario - it's not for mainstream consumption - so elaborate setups are fine.
Basically I want to have 2 PC's - PC1 has the game environment with the Rift - PC2 has an interface and a camera looking into the game. I want the PC2 user to be able to interact with the world that the 1st person is in.
A VERY basic example would be to have person standing in an empty room (PC1). The interface on the second PC would have a set of sliders to control the height of the walls and how far or close they were to the player. It would also have a 3rd person view of the scene. I attach an image of the 2nd display - it shows 3 different states.

Ultimately I would like a universal set of controls that would allow the second user to be able to select piece of geometry (or drag them into the game) and then be able to manipulate them in real time i.e. size, position etc.
So basically the 2nd user was like a kind of observer that could play God with select assets in real time.
Many thanks for your time!!! :)

- - Is this all possible to be coded in the UDK using UnrealScript
- How big a project do you think this is time-wise to get a minimum viable demo working (basic geometry as above - no textures)?
- Do you know any specific resources that might help speed a programmers life up i.e. I thought this was quite good http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/DevelopmentKitGems.html
Many thanks for your time!!! :)

- whoisonlineExplorerSounds interesting, especially the observer with GOD powers :-)
It sounds like a normal network game, but each user has different abilities in the game. Is that correct?
