4.20.1 weird screen issues
I am getting a weird glitch when I am using Unreal Engine 4.20.1 and the Oculus Rift. Please see the attached image. This happens even when I set up a blank project and set it as mobile target hardware, 2D 3D scale, and no starter content just like the documents say to try.
This issue doesn't seem to effect 4.19 or 4.18 and doesn't happen when I am testing the level with the Vive.
I am running an AMD RX580 8gb GPU with the latest firmware (I even tried to roll back a few revisions just in case)
AMD FX-6120 Processor (I know it is only 6 core but it usually does O.K. for VR)
16gb RAM
Windows 10 64-bit
I posted this in the Unreal AnswerHub but so far have had no responses. I thought I would check here.

- MaxArchHeroic ExplorerStrange. Have you tried creating a new project using the default target (and not the mobile target hardware) ?4.20.1 works fine on my Rift but I'm using an Nvidia GPU. Maybe someone with a Radeon GPU can confirm?
- KednerpoHonored GuestHey maxBr,
Thanks for checking in. I did try setting up a new project with the default options and it does the same thing.
I'm thinking you are on the right track with it being an AMD GPU issue. I've had a few times this year that some weird glitch, that no one else seemed to be having, turned out to be an AMD driver issue. It usually took a few revisions to rectify.
I would love it if someone with an AMD GPU could confirm this happens to them or not.
I think Ill give it another week to see if new runtimes, Epic releases, or Radeon updates fix it, then go get me a new Nvidia GPU. Might do so anyway ;) - KednerpoHonored GuestI recorded a video of the issue I am having. I noticed that even after getting out of VR Preview the issue persists.
So strange.

Thanks for taking a look. I am using the launcher version. - KednerpoHonored Guest@imperativity
Thanks for taking a look. I am using the launcher version. I haven't ever tried doing the Git Hub versions. - KednerpoHonored GuestI got pretty far with downloading and installing the GitHub Oculus 4.20 build. I tried a few things but got the same results. I'm not entirely sure I was doing it right though.
Anyway... Best Buy had another price cut on Nvidia GTX1070 so I picked one up today just in case. After trying the Github build I threw it in. Problem solved. No glitch just like maxBr noted.
I may throw the AMD in another build I have around to see if the issue does get fixed. I will report back if I find the reason.
