- GRADGRProtegetried 4.24.3 same issue.. any clue?
- AnonymousI noticed exactly the same since the latest GO update my device received last week!I managed to narrow it down to all unreal versions 4.23+ (4.22 and earlier is fine) and shipping builds experience the issue. If you switch to development build it's no longer washed out. After spending many hours trying every combination of settings for a workaround I managed to find one that works with Shipping: Switch from OpenGL ES3.1 to OpenGL ES2 and it looks fine again! This is of course not a future proof solution since openGL ES2 has been removed in Unreal 4.25 and Vulkan with Shipping crashes on Go (at least for me) so this issues really should be reported to Oculus so they know their firmware update broke newer Unreal engine games on the Go... I've not had much luck reporting issues to them, however have not done so for quite some time so maybe it's improved? ... what is the best way to report issues to Oculus now days?
- GRADGRProtegeThanks for sharing the solution aussieburger, i really hope Oculus will restore this quickly as without Culling all ue4 projects take massive performance hit......
am callling out for oculus forum staff, maybe they will report this.
@juanoldinho @imperativity @imperativity1 - Anonymoushmmm just noticed some of my materials do not showup correctly with OpenGL ES2 (show black) so that workaround is not a valid one for me afterall...
- Anonymoussuper disappointing still no reply / fix from Oculus :( Forced me to find another workaround since world position offset materials is not supported with ES2:If you select "Development" packaging but leave "For Distribution" ticked it renders correctly and is signed! The negatives about this are larger filesize as some debugging stuff is left in and print screen logs and other unreal debug only stuff is shown - but if turn those things off it works pretty well. I tested uploading the apk to Oculus and it works as well so I'll be going for this solution for now but really hope it is fixed soon...
- GRADGRProtegereally not a good idia to push dev build on store, not only for performance..

agreed - but only way to do it at the moment :( At least the android manifest file is configured for shipping just unreal engine itself is in development mode which has side issues but less than packaging with ES2 (at least for my project) - GRINKEExplorerMy ES3 UE4v4.24.2 game is fine when I launch from Editor on Oculus Go but when I package and install everything is washed out/grey from the splash screens to gameplay. I guess it's the same issue :-(

(I'm guessing so) - CykyriaExplorerJust wanted to add to the list. Dev builds are fine, shipping builds washed out. Anyone got any solution? I'm on UE4 4.24.3 Oculus branch, OpenGL ES3
