Can this kit be used with Digital Combat Simulator?
The Oculus Rift is what I've been waiting for for the last 15 years. I'm just wondering if I can use it for my Simulator, DCS A10 Warthog?
If I can I'll buy one now :D

- JDClampettHonored GuestI hVE not received my Oculus Kit yet, they are assembling the kits as I type. Here's the thing, if you are a software/ gaming/hardware innovator/developer, then this version of the Oculus is for you. If you are a Gamer only with very little software knowledge, then maybe you should wait for the Gamers version to be released to the World? As I understand it, this Version of the Oclulus Vr is made with the above parameters in mind, and the User/Gamer frliendly Version will be the next release to the World.
Thats my take on Mr. Luckey's Development of his Invention. I would bet They are taking pre-orders for the next Generation of the Oculus if you asked for it?
Good Luck,
Neil
P.S.
This OculusVersion is Unreal Engine compatible I understand All the Steam Games that use this Platform, (E.G.) Half-Life,Hl2, Counter Strike?, Skyrim?, etc
Still waiting for my Developers Kit, so I can't confirm the Games without researching the Forums again, I think I'll wait for the Kit to Arrive instead, OK?
d:)> - BurnerHonored GuestDCS can be made to work with the Rift through some fiddling, nothing with the Rift is plug and play. DCS is still not stereoscopic (non-3D) but I'm still trying to get the 3D stuff working.
But like Neil said this is a Dev Kit; the screen resolution is pretty much completely unusable for a game like A-10C where so much is going on in the cockpit. I fly aerobatics in DCS so I can get some use out of it even with the low res. We're also integrating the Rift into the L-39 add-on we're developing for DCS.
If you like to tinker and have cool experiences the Rift is a solid purchase. If you just want to fly DCS A-10C you won't really be able to do that in the Rift, wait for the consumer version with a higher res screen. - Thoth_The3xPartner

Not even a little bit. In fact, none of those games use the Unreal Engine. The first three are various versions of the Source Engine (or hlengine) and Skyrim is completely different.
