Dont get capped at 60FPS
When testing my level in UE4.3 in the DK2 using the "play in standalone window" I noticed I was always getting capped at 60FPS.
I had to go into my Project Settings (under the Edit File menu) and under Engine there is a "General Settings". Scroll down to Frame Rate and change the Max to 75, I even put the "Min Desired Frame Rate" to 75. And I unchecked "Smooth Frame Rate".

- sonixx31337Honored GuestThanks for the tip, but can you do this in Unity 4.5? :?
Sorry, I'm a n00b when it comes to gaming engines :(
(I have both! :D ) - AnonymousHow far will UE4 go to honor those settings? If I set min and max to 75 will UE4 greybox my entire scene if it had to? Or will it give up and run at good settings?
- spyroExpert ProtegeDoesn't work for me. Each and every scenes judders as hell, no matter how simple.

It'll find your credit card number and order a new card from Newegg. - artyom17Expert ProtegeCheck the framerate by 'stat fps'. If it is low (lower than 75) then you'll have judder. You definitely need to remove the cap (not sure if there is any use in setting it to 75, I'd set it to 300 and forget about it) and re-check the fps.
You might try to reduce the quality of the rendered image by using 'hmd sp 100' command (it will set ScreenPercentage to 100, the default value is around 135 for the DK2). Use 'hmd sp reset' to set the default value back. - opampProtege

Ive noticed with the Epic build of 4.4.1 that SP is fixed at 100 when using direct to rift anyway and any attemps to change SP will freeze the screen(this isnt an issue if your running in extended mode). Is the oculus build any different? - jeremycouillardHonored Guestweird mine was capped at 35. do you think it's unreal setting that based on system specs? i set it to 75 and i'm still getting a terrible 20 at best and 10 at worst.
i have an nvidia geForce GTX750...i think this one: http://goo.gl/n4O1h0
you guys think i just need a better card? also my level has a ton of stuff in it...it's a huge mountain landscape.
