Editor Perspective window Black
Hi everyone, i installed march build (oculus rift) and have ghostship all up and running but on every map even the default new map the perspective window is black. The other 3 windows are fine but if i change them to perspective it goes black.
I have tried resetting the window to default but has no effect.
Has anybody else come across this problem? Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance :)

- centurionwithatHonored GuestI have never seen this before.
I have seen my perspective camera fly outside the map when my computer started to chug. The camera orientated upwards looking at a black sky.
Perhaps try:
- The find actors search window and double click an actor.
- Select unlit mode
or
- Restart UDK
- Update graphic card drivers (I needed to do this for this UDK build, my driver was randomly crashing) - GhostshipExplorer

Hi, I tried all the different views (lit, wireframe etc.) The other 3 views are fine just the perspective window is black. I have the latest graphics card drivers already. I really don't want to try and do a re-install as it takes at least a day to port my game into the new install.
I have never seen this on any udk i have used over the years, that's why i think it might be something to do with oculus side of it, maybe some setting in an ini file. Tried disabling stereo etc but still the same. - centurionwithatHonored GuestFile->switch renderer ?
I've had no troubles with the Oculus + UDK. I'm using the DX9 renderer.
Barrel rendering only happens in the editor if you explicitly ask it to. It's off by default. I'd be surprised if it's to do with the Oculus.
Do other (in particular newer) versions of the UDK work for you? - GhostshipExplorertried switching to dx11 but still the same.
I have done a fresh install, all works fine then i port my game into the version as normal ( i have used 3 different versions over the last year without any problems) After i get my game content up and ruuning then my perspective window goes black.
So i have narrowed it down to my content - Packages, src scripts, inis, and flash content. It will take time to narrow down the actual problem unless anyone else has come across this. - centurionwithatHonored GuestAny interesting error output in the console? (UDKLift.exe editor -log) ?
If you wish, I'm happy to run it on my PC. I understand if you don't wish to share but I'll throw the offer out there. I won't share or steal your work.
I have an old PC though. i7 GTX285. - GhostshipExplorerThanks, its almost 20gb for the udk install with my game, and as i am a sole developer i dont really want to leave my home But thanks anyway :)
I have just got it sorted, it turned out to be a single line of code in my base engine ini. Got there in the end so will get an oculus ghostship demo out tomorrow
