Epic does it again! Free Infiltrator assets for UE4!
Every sound, every texture, every mesh, EVERYTHING that was used to create this cinematic gem is now free for the taking.

- MadBrainHonored Guestyes only problem is forget about using this for oculus games because the limit is 500 meg per game on the store:(
- Jokergod2000Heroic ExplorerLooks awesome! Downloading it now!
Edit, Launched in VR mode but I cannot move my head in the demo. Does this support Oculus? Showdown works fine? - andrewtekMember

You can use some of the assets without using the entire thing. There are lots of great assets (buildings, robots, particles, materials, animations, etc) to use."Jokergod2000" wrote:

This demo is to show how to use Matinee. You can use matinee with the DK2 (I am), but that is not the goal of this particular demo. If you are using Matinee, just remember not to take control of the user's camera. - DravenHonored GuestFree look doesn't work with Oculus out of the box, I don't know much about UE4 but I got it to work by migrating the Oculus blueprints from Showdown (OculusCamera, OculusCharacter, OculusController, OculusGame) into the Infiltrator project, and then setting the Infiltrator Game Mode settings to the appropriate blueprints to match Showdown, so:
GameMode Override: OculusGame
Default Pawn Class: OculusCharacter
Player Controller Class: OculusController
There might be an easier way but like I said I don't know UE4 and that worked for me. Obviously the camera pan/dolly/etc is still active, you would need to turn all that off in the Matinee to make it more VR friendly, but it's still cool providing you aren't super motion sensitive. The bit where the giant robot spreads it's arms blows me away every time in VR, so imposing. - Jokergod2000Heroic Explorer

That worked for me but talk about judder. I'm only using 65% GPU and 12% CPU (although CPU 3 is maxing out). Did you do anything else? I just copied the blueprint files over and selected Gamemode Override as Oculus World. I think my PC is capping the FPS at 60. Looks great on the PC screen. Just judder on the Oculus. - DravenHonored Guest

Yeah it's not a pleasant experience. I'm getting similar usage stats, so not sure why the judder is so high. Considering how much work it took for the guys at Epic to optimize Showdown, which is visually much simpler, I'm guessing it would be a pain in the ass the get Infiltrator running smooth. I never expected it to work particularly well, for me it was more of a sneak peek at what we will be seeing in 18-24 months time when people start making short VR films using game engines. So freakin' excited! - Jokergod2000Heroic Explorer

I'm almost wondering it if is judder in the traditional sense. Any idea if there is a way to show FPS in the demo window? I could not get FRAPS to do it and could only get Epic to do it in the main preview window. It seems more like motion blur than judder, head tracking seems smooth but everything just seems smeared. Might just be me though. I tried making changes to the .ini's using showdown as a template but no dice.
Looking forward to AAA VR titles. - FredrumExpert ProtegeWhere do you find the download button? I can't see it anywhere..

Learn tab within Epic Launcher. From there, click on Infiltrator Demo. I think the button starts out saying "Purchase" or "Free". Click that. Once you have licensed the content, you will have a "Create Project" button. Oh, you will also need an Unreal Engine Instance installed.
