[Gear VR] Platform SDK features in UE4 ?

Looking at this https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/platform/latest/concepts/developer-intro/ I wonder if it's limited to Rift and standalone SDK / Unity only  I am sure it's something Gear ...

Wanted to know if there had been any progress on this front.  I haven't been able to compile Platform SDK 1.6 Unreal for Android.
