Hand tracking microgestures OpenXR extension Not Available for Unreal Engine?
Good afternoon!
Why is the Hand Tracking Microgestures OpenXR extension, introduced on March 14, 2025, not available for use in Unreal Engine? Are there any limitations or is additional integration required to implement this technology in UE?
When will the functionality be available for Unreal Engine?

I'm checking here for any updates: https://github.com/oculus-samples
Based on my previous experiences, I can say that features come first in Unity and then in Unreal.- dario.macielStart Member
probably this. the same applies to the passthrough camera api. I hope we get them on Unreal very soon

More than a month now and still no Microgestures for Unreal engine, the typical left-out attitude that is common with Unreal engine-Meta development relation ship, like the Meta avatars that's are not available for unreal for years now for some vague reason .🤔

At some point in this video, they mention that they’ve been in contact with Unreal Engine officials, but it seems their roadmap is quite different and not focused on XR. So the issues don't seem to be Meta related, but rather stem from Unreal’s direction, at least that’s how I understood it.
