Oculus business enquiry
Greetings developers!!
We are a organisation who are looking forward to use Oculus Rift programmed in Unreal Engine for a business.
However we would like to know before we spend the money in the business if it exist the possibility to design a Unity project which allows to plug more than one device in the same computer.
This literally means for example whether we create a Unreal engine video game developed for Oculus Rift device,
can it be developed for two or more people are playing simultaneously ?
Can I create a LAN server "world" where the users could connect individually?
Thank you very much indeed for your time and help.

- getnamoHonored GuestI'm unsure if Oculus supports more than one device plugged into a computer, but due to GPU requirements I wouldn't recommended that route either way.
UE4 does however support easy and robust networking from the get go. There are content and video tutorial examples you can use to understand the concepts. It supports both user hosted sessions or dedicated servers and you can debug on the same computer using multiple play instances from within the editor. - AlexcmHonored Guestthanks for your reply! What we are currently thinking is a massive server computer in order to "hold" those GPU requirements.
I already contact with Oculus and they told me to ask here (forums). Have you got any idea where could I get a confirmation whether more than one device can be plugged or not please?
Have a great day! - cyberealityGrand ChampionI don't believe the software is setup to allow multiple Rifts on one machine.
For this you should use networking and a separate PC for each Rift. - AlexcmHonored Guest

The problem is that I need to make sure about this one, otherwise I will waste a lot of money in different computers!
Have you got any idea where can I get a confirmation about this one??? - getnamoHonored GuestI wonder if you could maybe use virtualization and forward the specific USBs and video outputs to specific instances. Needless to say this is untested ground and unless you know what you're doing having networked pcs would be the route with less headaches.
