Quest 2 - Switching off individual screens / Unreal

I'm creating an app for the Quest 2, using Unreal (and not having much success getting help on the Unreal forums).

I need to be able to switch off individual screens on Quest 2, so that I am displaying graphics to either the right or left eye.

Any idea how I might be able to do this?

I'm looking into nDisplay settings, but there's no guidance for this type of function.

  • Thanks for the reply. My understanding of Spectator mode is that it creates a virtual camera in the 3D space, but this would still display on both screens/lens within the Quest2. Could you elaborate a little more if you think that it might provide the correct solution for what I need please? Thanks

  • I've never really used it that much. But if you try different texture sizes, cant you draw a black screen (to simulate the turning off the lens) in front of one eye only, or half the screen size?
