Setting up MRC for a project
My team is currently developing a game using UE4 and currently trying to include the MRC function by first using the "MixedRealitySample" project.
It would be much appreciated if someone could provide any relevant information regarding the issue below:
-Specifications
Engine - Oculus-VR/UE4.27.2 ( github )
Plugin Version - OculusVR 1.74.0
-Issue
OVRP_SUCCESS(FOculusHMDModule::GetPluginWrapper().Media_IsMrcEnabled(&mrcEnabled))
mrcEnabled == ovrpBool_True
MRC enable does not seem to work. The output keeps showing False.
MixedReality and Media initialization (seen below) works fine.
OVRP_SUCCESS(FOculusHMDModule::GetPluginWrapper().InitializeMixedReality())
OVRP_SUCCESS(FOculusHMDModule::GetPluginWrapper().Media_Initialize())
What are we missing here? Is there a separate API to enable MRC that is currently unavailable in the Plugin or are there something else we need to do?

Were you able to make that sample project work? I was trying the same.

what do you want to achieve? the sample open fine here but I didnt package to test it

This part says to add that ```<uses-native-library>``` tag inside the ```<application>``` tag inside androidmanifest.xml. Is this part necessary? If so, I do have Android SDK version 32, but I'm not able to update the gradle version from 6.1.1 to 7.0. Any idea about this?. Also if packaged, the game isnt recognized as "mrc enabled" game in obs.- dario.macielStart Member
Oh, I see. I never used this MRC before. Sorry i cant help. I was thinking it was a issue to open the sample or somehting related to it.
Did it packaged correctly? I will try later to see what happens when I packaged the project

I got it packaged. but the same issue remains as OP's. How do I enable mrc?. The Mixed reality capture plugin is enabled, yet, the "Is Mrc Enabled" function in blueprint returns false.

Did it open correctly on the headset? Mine wotn open at all. The 3 dots just blink and nothing opens
