8 years agoSome tint shadows (vignetting) on the left side of the GearVR app, but not on the screenshot.
Hello, I'm making a project in UE4 4.18.3 which was fine, then I had two months break and while it was going I have updated my phone to Android 8. Samsung S8 originally was 7 then updated to 8 (Orio), but it may be not the issue, so right now on the application that I'm working on I have some strange overlay vignetting effect. I was going to take a screenshot and attach it here, but suddenly on the actual .png file there is no problem, but I see it clearly on the screen and I can tell it is something from the application, I mean on top of one eye there is some strange vignetting. Have anyone faced it?

- AnonymousIt's a bug of Gear VR, it's happening not only in Unreal Engine VR applications, but also when I switch to GearVR developer mode (use without googles) and play any video, yesterday I was surfing with GearVR mode on in Facebook application and I played video from there and I also noticed half of the screen goes dimmed inside the video-block.
I run Samsung S8 + Android 8, when I was on Android 7 I did not experience this glitches, how to fix it? - Anonymousit's even happening on GIf files, dark gradient (3-5% opacity) is moving up and down dynamically, it's like a smart-bug :) I was going to take a screenshot, but this bug is under the hood on a hardware level and doesn't apply on screenshots.
I have Samsung S8 Snapdragon 835, Canada. - AnonymousI always use ETC2 while compiling it, I have noticed issue appeared not only in GearVR apps, but also in general use of the phone, while I browsing animated gif-files I see a bug, half of the image is slightly dimmed and flickering. Everything started when I updated my phone from Android 7 to Android 8 on Samsung S8 and it really broke many things, such as new ARCore 1.0 broke all of my apps from ArCore Preview, I have to remake entire apps basically from scratch to make things work again.
Also, GearVR has a glitch: While I rotate my head, I see some line at the bottom which also turning with me, it feels like I'm inside huge trigger-box and it intersects entire level.
