UDK and IPD
Hi all,
Has anyone found a setting in an ini file (or anywhere else) that allows the IPD distance to be set? There's a section in UDKEngine.ini called [Engine.Oculus], but there's nothing in it that appears to relate to IPD.
Thanks.

Sorry I missed that. It's pretty obvious.
Thanks. - ianmacmillanExplorer

I changed this to match my IPD (0.061000 = 61mm, as measured by an optometrist), and the separation seems way off. The red aiming dot is actually two dots now, separated by about 10 pixels or so.
Is this setting my eyes' IPD, or the 'IPD' of the lenses (neither of which can be adjusted :))? - cyberealityGrand ChampionOK, I looked into this and it is indeed a bug. We hope to fix this at some point, maybe in the next release.
For now you can try this workaround:
In the console type:oculusdev on
Then to change the red dot spacing type:stereo hud cc=70
I know this isn't the greatest solution, but it should help in the time being before we sort things out.
Hope that helps. - ianmacmillanExplorer

Thanks, cyber (can I call you that in here?).
Note that the problem not only manifests with the red dot, but the left/right images are off as well. I get bad brain fatigue trying to merge the images. If I set the IPD in the Tuscany demo to 61, the image looks OK, so it's not a case of my IPD being wrong (and I say 'OK' because the disparity between the lens separation (64mm) and my IPD (61mm) does cause a tiny bit of discomfort...I think that matching software IPD and lens IPD is the better choice, but I'm just experimenting right now). - cyberealityGrand ChampionYeah, you can call me cyber.
It's hard to say what the issue is, since everyone's eyes are different, but we will try to get to the bottom of this.
