I'm using it on two computers, one with ATI graphics card with Intel processor and one with a Nvidia card with AMD processor and haven't experienced any crashes.
  • I've only had one crash so far while simulating a map. What's your hardware?

    ut4 crash 3-4 times in a hour when using control+z .

    that annoying.

  • I'm running a
    Boxx workstation
    With 16 gigs ram
    Dual quad core Xeon processor
    Nvidia Quadro 4000
    Windows 7
    Fresh install of UE4 verified
    The built-in Oculus plugin
    Is enabled.

I built a standalone of the
    Realistic Rendering demo.
It works fine when not using the Rift but
Once in Rift there is no head tracking,
The view is as if you are looking through a telescope
At a part of the room and
Any keyboard sequence locks and crashes my computer.

I already consulted the Oculus Wiki on
UE4 and stepped through the Sanity
    Check but no help.

    Any ideas to resolve problem?

    Thanks!

I've just started kicking the tires but the one time UE4 has crashed on me was when I used CTRL+Z to undo a change.

    "Save early and often." :)
  • I recently dowloaded the 0.3.1 SDK, and re-calibrated my Rift. I'm using the latest version of UE4 (4.1), but I was having problems with v4.02 also. The rift works perfectly with the RiftCoaster Demo (from UE3/UDK) and all SDK and Unity demos, but it is either minimizing to the task bar, starting with very garbled screen drawing, or doing nothing at all when I hit Alt-Enter after starting a standalone game from UE4. I have tried it with demo projects, my own projects, and new projects, and nothing works. I have gone through the Oculus page on the Unreal 4 Wiki, know that the plugin is active, and I have gone through the "sanity check" many times.

My monitor is set to "Extend My Desktop", which was working previously when I hit Alt-Enter. Now for it to work, I have to be in "Duplicate these displays".

I don't want to have to keep my monitor resolution at 1200x800 while I'm working. Is there anyone else experiencing this? I'm at a loss.

I've had the same experience as you and have been just as thorough attempting to remedy it. At this point I'm suspecting that maybe it has something to do with my video card (Nvidia Quadro 4000)
I'd be interesting to know what kind of card you have and if think this might be a possible reason.
I know for example that my card is more of a pro rendering cards as opposed to gaming card. I'm considering swapping it out with a Titan to see if this might make a difference.

I've got a GTX 560 Ti right now. I'm starting to think it's a 4.1 thing, since I am getting the same results when hitting Alt-Enter on my laptop, which is running a Quadro K5000. Still at a loss as to why it won't go full screen now.
