Update to SDK 0.4.4
I am running Unreal Engine 4.5.1. The Rift SDK 0.4.4 was just announced today: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17702
This will be my first time updating the Rift SDK. Is there anything I need to do to update Unreal Engine - or is simply installing the new 0.4.4 runtime sufficient?
Thanks!

- cyberealityGrand ChampionI believe you just need to install the new runtime. You don't need to uninstall first.
When developing, you want the same runtime as SDK version. I believe UE4 was updated yesterday. - andrewtekMemberThanks Cyber! My UE4 scene seems to have suffered. My nearly-empty baseline scene (floor with big cube, cone and light) drops to 37 FPS when looking towards the lit cube. Going to rebuild the baseline scene to see if a fresh level created with the latest UE4.6 fixes the problem.
- andrewtekMemberI just downloaded the Couch Nights project from the Epic marketplace and built it using UE 4.6 and SDK 0.4.4. It ran perfectly at 75FPS no matter where I looked. I am guessing there are some defaults that need to be set in my project to make my scene run as smoothly. I will look around for them.
