Video import fails
Anyone else getting 'Import failed' for .biks in this release. I can't even get the Epic logo .bik to import. Tried installing on multiple machines, same result. Any ideas much appreciated.

- NETrom1970Honored GuestYes, have the same problem. Have just installed UDKInstall-2013-02-BETA2 and that version had no problems.
I´l have a further look into the problem tomorrow, to see if theres some way to fix it.
Edit: No sorry haven't found a fix..
NETrom - ghostlyfuExplorerRequest to OR guys: some of us are very much hoping this gets fixed soon - there will be some interesting possibilities for stereoscopic video elements in-game, once we can actually get some in! ;)
- VisualKnightHonored Guesthmm... Did you try switching Direct X 11 and 9. Because I really want to use video textures.
- cyberealityGrand ChampionI will have to look into this. It may not be a bug, but rather a licensing issue. Not sure at this point.
- ghostlyfuExplorerTried both Direct X options, I'm guessing this is a license issue as SpeedTree doesn't seem to import either. Really hoping this gets sorted by next Epic release.

Agreed. No Simplygon, Bink or Speedtree makes me an un-HappyHimitsu. :( - ghostlyfuExplorerNo news on Bink import/licence issue? Anyone else suffering from this? We're working on video elements with alpha masks, mixed with CG. Works great in other UDK releases but this 'no Bink' issue is starting to hold up development. Anyone know of any other way to get video into UDK..?

You could import your files in an earlier version of the editor and then just open that package inside the newer version. - OlivierJTExplorer

This maybe a waste of time :
I tried this with speedtree and scaleform : doesn't work... - ghostlyfuExplorerI can confirm - opening project created in an older UDK release, with .bik content already incorporated doesn't work for me. Comes up as blank in Oculus Rift release.
