VR Preview crash with Meta XR v60

Hello,

My project is always crashing when i try to go in VR preview with meta quest 3 on Unreal Engine 5.3.2.

I'm not finding any solution.

I've the Meta Xr plugin v60. and everything is working on standalone mode.

I have the following crash error :

    Hi.

    I experience the same thing:
New blank project - activate MetaXR (v60 and v59 - tried both) plugin - restart, and preview in VR.
This gives the same error and crash as you describe.

When trying the same thing in Unreal 5.2.1 with MetaXR v57, it works.

So don't have a sollution for now other than reverting to UE 5.2.1.

IIRC, I am also hitting this, but I can work around it by not putting the headset on until after I start the VR Preview.  Though, this work around results in me waiting 30 - 60 seconds for the VR Preview to understand that it has controllers.

  • Do you have OpenXR, OpenXREyeTracker, OpenXRHandTracking plugins disabled?
VRPreview only works for me if I have those disabled (it shows dialog window when opening project but you can ignore it)

Make sure you have Quest link connected and Oculus app sees the device

I only have OpenXR enabled.  (Not sure question was directed at me.  Actually, pretty sure it wasn't.  But just in case I'll add my data point).

  • Did you guys find a solution to this? Still occurs on Unreal Engine 5.5 with MetaXR v.74, with Meta Quest Pro.
