it is honestly ridiculous but this is what worked for me for pc link

turn your headset off completely with the link cable still plugged in as normal, close out all oculus services through task manager, go to meta link app on pc and in settings/beta turn on ptc (public test channel) let the link app update and then turn on your headset.

the enable vr link message popped straight up for me and now im playing just fine. this isnt a fix honestly meta needs to do better but its atleast a work around for now and i hope it helps.

  • Mine still isn't connecting but at least that got my Windows Meta Quest Link App up to V81, which is what my headset is on.
    I knew I shouldn't have updated

I literally have no idea HOW this worked but it did. THANK YOU!!! I was so desperate because if I try to play wirelessly I get stuttering randomly even though I have my pc connected through ethernet to a router that's giving me 2.3 gigs per sec up and down and my headset is connected to that router that is in the SAME ROOM on 6GHZ band. I even bought the official meta link cable just in case but after doing this I canceled my order and now I can enjoy VR without worrying. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Thankyou. This worked for me too. How can a huge corporation like mega just leave us in the dark that we have to search for ourselves to problems that should never occur in the first place.
