No audio from PC or link menu suddenly in quest link

Okay, so it all boots, and I go to the link menu. You know, with the games and whatnot. Problem is, there’s 0 volume. I’ve tried updating the audio output driver, I reinstalled link (twice) and yes I deleted all the old installs, and It still doesn’t work. There’s still no volume. What do I do now?  I’m on a quest 3.

  • Hey I had this same issue and had to go through 45 emails just to find out "Whoops! this is our fault" So yeah, it's not you, there's nothing you can do about it, just wait for an update. I'm dead serious btw, I wouldn't try to do anything because the issue is with their app, and you can't really downgrade it.

  • I had the same thing happen yesterday (Dec 1) when I updated windows 11 with the 2025-11 Preview Update (KB5070311). I ended up uninstalling the horizon app and the games and reinstalling. It fixed the problem. Got sound back on games again.

Why on earth did you uninstall the games, it has nothing to do with the problem!

Well to be fair I only have 2 games in the app, LOL. I backed them up before uninstalling meta, but you can't just copy them back over. It kept failing to recognize them when I copied back to oculus folder. No big deal took 5 minutes to reinstall.
