Quest link takes 5 minutes to launch

My meta quest link takes about 5 minutes to launch, it has been doing this since earlier this year I even tried wiping my computer to try and fix it. I did find a temporary solution, I opened the computer services and restarted "Oculus VR Runtime Service" before starting Oculus  Link from the headset. Oculus link will work normal after until I turn off the computer, next time I want to use Oculus link I would have to go back into services and restart it again.

I am using windows 11, Quest 3 headset

I turned the public test channel on to download the beta update and it fixed the problem. it was the Oculus Link software causing the issue.

  • You might try setting the Oculus service to "Delayed start" in the Windows service panel. That worked for me.

  • Fun fact if you try to run meta without internet - itll take a LONG minute to load - like trying to open tsk manager on back in the day

Start it connected to the internet - it loads instantenously

Also the new update issues faulty usb drivers. Meaning the hesdset isnt recognised.

Because this software Sh!ts the bed so often iknow my way around  the menus enough to know that when looking in the device properties(not devmgr but devices in settings) i notice there is only one rift usb hub - there should be two.

So in the span of an update

They have ( which is probably ai produce )

Completely bricked my headset  through issuing faulty drivers.

And if it is the product of ai generated bs

Bad news itll take them a while to undo it

As i bet nobody has a fecking clue what its done :p

Back to throw darts at pictures of bigtech again
