why was v81 given then taken away?

PC link got updated to v81 some days ago and last night it got an update.

ONLY it wasn't an update it was a downdate,why?

Changed account and back to v81.

Changed back to original account and downdated to v79 AGAIN!

update/downdate is normal for you with different accounts but never have I been given it and taken away on the same account.

 

Why give my account v81 then take it away?

Same Account on the Q3 got navigator and just recently v81 are you going to take that away?

    Just happened to me too.... I was on v81 in the link app and Q2 for almost 2 weeks and received the downdate to v79 for the pc app.

    Q2 is still on v81, Q3 v79(it wasn't updated to v81 yet.

    Actually, I think I got the update to v81 for link app and Q2 by mistake.... usually I receive updates 4 weeks after roll out start.

    So, maybe that's the reason why the link app got downdated?🤷‍♀️

     

    If you enable PTC in the link app, you'll get updated to v81 again🙃

      That's curious. I've been on Meta Quest Link v81 for several weeks now (Quest 3). Last night I got upgraded to v81.0.0.930.254 from v81.0.0.828.254 😁. I am not on PTC 🙃! 🎲🎲🎲

        I think, you got your first update to v81 when you are supposed to get it.

        Not me......I got v81.0.0.828.254 four days after the roll out started even if it was not my usual time to receive it.....some mistake? I don't know😅

        This was corrected when the second update - v81.0.0.930.254 - was rolled out..... I was just downgraded to the version I should actually have at this point.... v79.

        By enabling PTC i was updated to same version you are on now.

        Just wild guessing😂😂

    Meta updates are like those cliffhanger TV series, you never know what's going to happen next, 😁
