Wired Link Completely Broken

After the recent v.81 update my Quest 2 headset has become fully paperweight due to the meta PCVR-LINK issues. I use my headset only for PCVR and ever since the latest update came out my headset gets recognized by the app and all but whenever i press to connect my link in the quest 2 pop up it just gets stuck on the Meta loading screen with the 3 dots but i hear the audio from my pc.

It has NEVER been like this, whatever you guys did with the update rollout you clearlt havent tested it enough or you're forcing people to buy your newest equipment for the money.

 

Its been nearly 10 days since this bug happened for me and numerous other people across Reddit, Discord, even on this website here.

 

ISSUE A HOTFIX AND PATCH THIS.

    I'm sorry to hear that you have been experiencing issues loading link sessions with the v81 update .  If you can also provide the following information below it would help us in troubleshooting this issue.

    Please use the following format when sharing your feedback (copy paste and fill out if possible):

    Issue Reporting Template

    Test Environment:
    Include relevant information such as:

    • GPU used
    • PC specifications
    • Connection type (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
    • Headset in use
    • Headset version (can be found using this link)
    • PC Link App version (found in desktop app, under Settings > General > Bottom of page)

    Additionally, please provide any relevant pictures and logs using our Horizon app, and  log-gatherer tool under the diagnostics folders.

      Description:
      Each time i connect my Oculus Quest 2 the connection gets established and i can hear my PC audio, but the headset itself gets stuck in the Meta loading screen with the 3 dots and a notification pops up which says "Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article."

      >I only hear PC audio, the streaming handshake between the pc and the headset doesn't work as it gets stuck in an infinite Meta Loading screen with the 3 dots.

      Steps To Reproduce:

      1. Start Meta App on the pc first, let it load fully.
        2. Connect your headset, the "Do you want to enable link?" Message pops up, i click yes and it directs me to the loading screen
        3. My PC Audio is heard through the headset, the streaming/handshake of my screen between my PC and the Quest 2 is just a permanent loading Meta logo screen with the 3 dots.

      Observed Results:

      Expected Results:
      I expect it to behave like how it usually did, i connect my headset, it works fine, i play vr games using my link cable, then when i get tired i turn my headset off and store it away in a safe location in the box.

      Test Environment:

      • GPU used: Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti
      • PC specifications: 32GB Ram, AMD 3600 X CPU
      • Connection type: (Wi-Fi or Ethernet): Ethernet + Link Cable
      • Headset in use: Oculus Quest 2
      • Headset version: Latest V.81 ((Everything was fine and working until it updated to this version.))
      • PC Link App version: Meta Quest Link App Version 81.0.0.930.254 (81.0.0.930.254)
