I think, you have to wait for Meta coming out with fixed version.
One user in the first thread said that he was able to install the now..... so, maybe try again.
With a new setup from the web page.... don't use the one that you already downloaded.

I think I know a fix for this one.
Go thee here:
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client
(or wherever it installed)
And then look for Client.exe or OculusClient.exe.
Find it. Copy it. Paste it. (it will ask you to authenticate to paste here, I think)
And then rename it either Client.exe or OculusClient.exe, whichever one you don't have.
Because part of the install process is looking for the other spelling of the app name.
And let me know if that works!! It worked here.-Chilton

With my setup anyway, when I tried to update the drivers and they failed I attempted a new install after a repair didn't work. Doing so crashes at the end but there is no "support" folder here to try what you are sayin, it was erased so no Client or OculusClient.exe to be found, but thanks.

The only problem with this is in an attempt to fix the installation, i removed all the old Oculus client files and folders except for installed games
