Meta Horizon Dekstop Link NOT WORKING well

We need an update for the Meta Horizon Link ASAP, v81 was a lot better. we can't put more than 400 to 500 mbits as bitrate to be stable at the Meta Dashboard on the PC. 960mbits was without any problem on v81 PC Meta Link.

  • AEFox2020  Both my headsets (Q3 and QPro) and the meta-link pc app updated to non-ptc v83 a couple of days ago and I'm not seeing any significant differences with either Link or Air Link.

With Link I can still use up to 960mbps encoding bitrate but I've found that anything above 750mbps starts to add latency (~5ms extra at 800mbps and ~15ms extra at 960mbps).  TBH I don't really see any significant improvement in clarity above ~650mbps.

Actually, since ~v74 update I've found that dynamic bitrate encoding works very well.  On the Oculus Debug Tool (ODT) I enable encoding dynamic bitrates and input 750mbps MAX dynamic encoding bitrate.  This works great and the bonus is that I can use the same ODT for Air Link as well.

So, if you're getting much lower Link speed you might want to check that you're not actually using usb2.  The meta-link device tab should let you know if this is the case or not.  Otherwise, maybe try a different usb3 port.  Good luck sorting this out mate.  Cheers.
