PC Link connection issue on v.85 (USB & Air Link)

Hello, I am experiencing connection issues with PC Link after the v.85 update. I've tried both USB and Air Link, but neither is working. I would appreciate any guidance or troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Everything was working perfectly last week, but I’m facing issues again today. The only change is that my Quest 3 updated to v.85. It is incredibly frustrating that new problems arise every single time there is an update. I use this device for work, not for leisure, so this is causing a major disruption to my professional tasks

It is currently stuck on the 'Connecting...' screen and won't progress further. Interestingly, the Meta Quest Link app on my PC shows that the headset is connected successfully, but it stays in a waiting state indefinitely

Metas link server appears to be down, so everyone is affected. Try disconnecting PC from internet, start Link, then connect PC back to internet.

  • Apply a Windows Defender Firewall ... on OUTBOUND Rules search for the OculusDashboard.exe and open properties and put BLOCK CONNECTION. And that's it. A temporal solution.

OMG THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!..., Yesterday at around 5:04PM I got to turn on my headset everything was fine, when I clicked my Link PC it went to the Oculus log with the three dots under it like normal but then waiting a whole four minutes I then just did a restart and the same thing, after that.. dude until 12midnight trying to trouble shoot doing so many crazy thing to try and fix this issue and I'm think "could it be my PC or what or could it just be Oculus yet again being bugged.. the last issue I had with this darn headset was out of no wear I had no audio and uninstalled Bothe the app and factory reset the headset which then fix that audio bug.

Anyways ppl like you should be working for Oculus.. they have no proper support what so ever, no one to talk to so they can remotely see the issue them selves... stuff like this is frustrating and when I come home from work I just want to relax and have fun with friends on Vrchat.... You help me and this community out and hope that Oculus will fix this issue ASAP.

  • Hi,
    I found out the solution
Deconnect from the internet whenever your linking and reconnect when your done
or you could just block internet access for Questdash.exe using firewall new rule lol

  • It feels like every recent Meta update brings new issues. It didn't really affect our standalone development before, but now that we're working on high-quality content that requires constant PC integration, we’re running into problems all the time. It's been quite frustrating.
