Q3 link cable failing after minutes of use, same happens after restarting oculus server.

This is my 3rd post about this, my other 2 failed to show up!

V 85.0.0.239.552

I previously posted a link to another user as I'm having similar looking issues, maybe my posting that link is stopping my posts going through???

Anyway, even after a fresh boot up I often have to restart the oculus server before the link cable is seen, then everything works fine for between 5 - 10 minutes, then it suddenly just stops and looks like the screenshot in the above link, with edges all zig-zaggy.

If I reboot oculus server, all is fine for another 5 - 10 minutes, then it freezes again exactly the same.

USB test says I'm getting 2.2 MBPS.

All games/app works flawlessly in between link failing.

Link is basically unusable at present. Air link/steam link works fine, but strtesses my GPU way more (I can hear fans kicking in at high speed) using RTX 3060ti & i7 6700k, 16g ram.

 

Please fix ASAP!

    I feel like this has been a issue for at least 2 months at this point, it is completely unusable it has gotten so unstable. There was a update for link that was installed but it did not do anything to fix this. Side note: it hates some USB ports as on a 3.10 port it will always go to 2.0 speeds even when the cable is in all of the way.

    Please fix, this has gotten out of hand.

    Sounds like the same issue I have with my Quest 3s.

    I play DCS for about 10 mins, then my headset freezes. The game is still playing on my monitor, so it isn't the computer.

    If you're using an NVIDIA graphics card and the installed driver version is higher than 591.86, try rolling back to driver version 591.86; in my case, it fixed the problem. I can't verify whether the error is caused by the latest Meta-Link update or the NVIDIA driver, as I haven't found a way to roll back Meta-Link.
