Developer Forum Relaunch Scheduled for September 23

On September 23, we will be relaunching the Meta Horizon Developer Forum. We've heard your feedback, and we’re excited to let you know about our plans to provide you with an updated, streamlined, and improved forum experience for your development needs.

What's New?

Simplified Categories: We’re simplifying the forum category structure for clarity and easier navigation.
The new category structure will help you easily find the information you’re looking for, whether you’re just beginning your development journey or you’re ready to showcase your latest app.

Updated Tags: We're moving to a unified tagging system. You’ll be able to filter entire categories to find relevant posts on a range of development topics, including SDKs, APIs, sound design, hand tracking, and much more.

Community Support: We're introducing a team of support agents and Start program mentors who will be available to help you problem solve and find resources, whether you're working with a new SDK, troubleshooting a bug, or figuring out how to add a new feature to your app.

What’s Next?

The relaunch process will occur in a few stages:

  1. On September 19 at 12pm PST, we will lock the current Developer Forum. All existing content, including posts and threads, will become read-only, and you will not be able to post or comment.
  2. On September 23, the locked forum content will be moved into a new category labeled Archived, and all existing tags will be replaced with a single ARCHIVED tag. Posts in the Archived category will still be readable and appear in searches, but they can’t be commented on or edited.
  3. After we've finished making changes, the refreshed forum will appear, ready for you to post!

If you need support while the forum is locked, please file a ticket with the Support team, or message us on X @MetaHorizonHelp or Reddit @MetaHorizonSupport.

We appreciate your patience while we make these changes—we're excited about this next chapter for the Meta Horizon Developer Forum.

  • Assuming you will be keeping the forum email notifications,  PLEASE have the email notifications contain at least the forum name, and some kind of subject line. Something like:

Subject: [Unity, Voice SDK] having a problem with ...

Sometimes I think I might be able to help, until I click on the link and find out it not for Unity or Unreal.

And please make the authentication tokens last longer. It is annoying to attempt to reply, have to login again on a 2nd page, then after you login again, it takes you to a 3rd page. So you then have to go back and find the original post and hit reply again.

    Thanks!
