Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach day, an adventurous outdoor excursion or a casual gym time, your avatar is ready to shine. We shipped the latest avatar update to Horizon users. Our latest update is packed with exciting new features designed to help people truly embody their desired persona. You’ll discover a fresh collection of summer outfits, more body types and hairstyles, new poses, and emotes, and more. You can now represent yourself in even greater detail, like showing off your biceps or a summer tan. Plus, improved AI features take personalization to the next level.

- Updated body presets and sliders that allow you to achieve more iconic body shapes and proportions, with more granular control.
- Updated face controls for maturity, face depth and eye depth, critical for representing age, ethnicity.
- New, trendy clothing.
- New hairstyles and new/improved facial hair options.
- Idle poses allowing people to show up in Editors, Viewer and Profiles with a more personalized move.
- Style with AI: Customize avatar style (clothing + accessories) via text prompt (e.g., festival look).
Join the launch moment!
You can join in the launch fun. We built a social media sharing mechanic into the flow and you can (if you want) use it to show off your updated avatar to your IG or Facebook followers via Stories and/or on other platforms. #MetaAvatars
Here’s how:
- Get the latest version of Meta Horizon mobile app and log into it
- Click on https://horizon.meta.com/avatar/editor?campaign=summer on your mobile. It will launch Avatar Editor in Horizon with the social sharing feature enabled.
- Update your avatar (get an updated body shape, pose, hair, etc.) and hit ‘save’
- When you hit X to exit the avatar editor you’ll be prompted to share an emote and background. Swipe to choose from emotes, tap the background affordance to swap those out, hit share.
- You can download the video (to share elsewhere) or choose Stories for IG and FB
- If you want to, add #MetaAvatars to the story (or thread, post, etc) and share.
- For CTA (call to action), use this URL https://horizon.meta.com/avatar/editor?campaign=summer. This will allow your followers to use the sharing flow too.
